A happening first half of 2012!

2012 is a happening year for me so thus far. The year which my big day will be happening, and will no longer be a Miss by year end (don't know to be happy or sad).

Had a great trip to Taiwan in March for my outdoor photoshoot! Weather was hot for the first 2 days but temperature dipped alot after that and my hands felt like they were perpetually in the freezer.

Photoshoot (PS) was a great deal of fun! Guess it does help that I was lucky to get the best photographer from the bridal studio, and the weather was really good as well (was kinda worried coz it was always drizzling coupled with thick fog near to Zhong Li, the place where my PS took place.

Look how foggy it was!

Halfway through hair-do

Our first outfit

In the car, on way to first destination!

The first destination is a theme -park like place call Alice's Sky, whereby there's different scenes for couples to take wedding shots. For instance, at this corner is a water church, that corner is a pool with piano/boat in the centre or by the side, the far corner with an interesting looking house and is probably something not to be seen in SG, etc.

The water feature by one corner of the place.

Now I know, pics are really beautiful but the actual scenery was not so (unless the pictures were taken by beachside or forest?). Nonetheless, it was an eye-opener as the place was really professional, with a huge area for couples to do their makeup touch-up and changing of outfits.

The outfits hanging behind us belongs to the other couples....

Love Taiwan's Bian Dang!

Was delicious!

Love this colourful corner, which has a white Vespa for us to take pics with!

The next place we went to was this place call "Da Xi", a flower farm and it was the tulips season. Didn't manage to take with what I wanted (sunflowers), but the tulips and lavender were really beautiful too!

Always hear people complaining about their photoshoot, saying that they no longer enjoy it towards the end due to smiling too much. I find that on the contrary, the time flew by and I was abit down when the photographer called it a wrap! I want to take more!!!!

The last pic taken after back in hotel room

Indoor shoot was not as fun as the outdoor one, not sure if it's coz I was travelling and the mood was different. Love my 2 indoor shoot outfits!

Both were the 2nd outfit which I tried for their category, guess I'm really not a fussy bride-to-be!

The wedding gown was really heavy and fluffy!

Love this evening gown too!

Can't wait to see the actual photos! Hope that they turn out great! :)

Went for Orlando trip just 2 days after the indoor shoot. First trip to USA was an eye-opener, though it was a little tough for me in the beginning as I am not good with accented English unlike the Fiance. :( He had to repeat for me quite a number of times throughout the trip...And to think that American English is already the easiest to understand (in my opinion at least)!

I do liaise with the Australian counterparts pretty often when I was working in the Aussie bank, and I had to close my eyes to focus on listening to what they were talking over the phone to catch it!

Anyway, was by myself for 2 days when he was at work and I survived! But I do think that as independent as I am, I still very much prefer to travel with a companion...someone whom I can share things with and of course can also help to take pictures of me! haha!

Stayed at Walt Disney World - Disney has 1 world and 4 parks worldwide. Parks are the themeparks which we usually see like in HK, Tokyo, LA and Paris. WDW is a HUGE area (which we were guessing about the size of half of SG?) with many many many resorts + entertainment area, and 6 theme parks (4 land and 2 water parks). It's very convenient to travel within WDW with the shuttle buses and water taxis.

I love Disney parks for their parades and shows and not so much of their rides. The rides were pretty child-friendly (well it's disney!) so were nothing to shout about. The parks all had fireworks at night, and it's really pretty! :)

Parade time! Mickey and Minnie!

Chip and Dale!

Saw numerous real squirrels in the states!

Cinderella castle

The iconic Cinderella's castle, which is always seen in the introduction of all Disney movies and a star will fly by in the sky. It's majestic and I was really happy to see it cause Cinderella is my favourite Disney princess! The awesome fireworks also took place behind the castle at night after there was a storyline to the fireworks! A totally different feel!

Chip and Dale stealing my meh meh!!!

Watch Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba which is exclusive to WDW!

The ticket which costed a freaking USD 120! And it was not even the best category seats! Performance was spectacular, but I felt that the show amazed the Caucasians more as I have watched a number of such shows before, and acrobatic moves are always the same just with more patterns and difficulty.

Legoland at downtown disney was very interesting!

Lego Buzz Lightyear!

Woody!

And a huge Lego dragon in the waters!

Shopping at outlet was really shiok! Though it was sad that I only found the real deals towards the end of the trip whereby I had no $$ left! Clothes from DKNY and Ecko were dirt cheap at $10+ a piece!

Orlando's Premium Outlets

I will remember not to bring too much clothes there next time and buy at outlets instead!!

Fulfilled my unfulfilled wish in NZ, the hot air balloon ride!

This is something very different and the ride felt really calm and peaceful! Enjoyed the beautiful scenery while in the air!

All the houses below have swimming pools in their backyard!

Total LOVE for hot air balloon ride!

Coming up next will be a continuation of the US trip, on food (cheesecake factory was so yummilicious!) and Universal Orlando Resort (the rides were AMAZING!! especially harry potter world!!)

Yiwei and Elaine have embarked on their 3 months backpack journey to almost the whole of Asia! Backpack is not so much of a thing for me, but I do envy them for being able to travel for 3 whopping months!! :) Can't wait to hear about updates when they are on their trip!

Been ages since I last blogged, which was probably because my lappie went haywire and desktop crashed....
My first entry after SOOO long, is about my NZ trip in April! Almost 4 mths ago, but still fresh in my mind. Felt kinda tired during the trip coz wake up pretty early on most of the days, but am so yearning to go back now!!!
The highlight of the trip was SKYDIVING!!

Us all geared up before the dive!

We were all so scared yet super looking forward to the skydiving experience! The waist pouch thing that we carried was actually the lifejacket in case we land on water! *gulps* Was terrifying for someone who doesn't know how to swim like me! So the first thing I did was to ensure I know what was the fastest way to unzip and take out the lifejacket! haha!

Boarding the jet plane...

The height we chose was 15,000 FT, which is actually very high! The land looked so small at that height, and 1 by 1 we all jumped out of the plane! The jumping out happened so fast that no one had any chance to regret and refuse to jump (not that we will do that anyway!).

Wheee~~~~

I was 3rd to jump, after Yiwei & Elaine....I could see them dropping down super rapidly and my legs could feel the cold wind blow as they were left dangling out of the exit for a moment before I jump (when taking the exit photo).

After jumping, it was just SHIOK! My face felt cold coz of the low temperature, but there was surprisingly no heart-drop feeling like those we get when riding a roller coaster. View was awesome as we skydived over Lake Taupo, the lake which is the size of SG!

I can still shake hands with my photographer/videographer!

Besides the divemaster attached to my back, a photographer cum videographer jumped with me to capture all the exclusive moments!

On Parachute...

Landing!

Super happy me!

The skydiving experience was beyond what words can describe, and I will definitely do it again if I have the chance! =)
One less thing from my "things-to-do-before-I-die" list!

Our group star jump after the dive!

Shall look forward to my next holiday, Hong Kong!
买东西,吃东西,买东西,吃东西!

Friends who know me long/well enough probably know that I have this skin allergy condition call eczema.

I remember very clearly that my allergy first flared up towards the end of Secondary 2. I can also still remember that my table partner was Qiwen.

Most people probably heard of eczema but not exactly sure what it is. There's actually different degree of the condition, mild - extreme. My condition was probably more towards the extreme side when it first happened.

And recently it flared up again (to me it's quite bad, but the doctor actually told me he has seen alot worst)!

EWWWWWW!

Seriously, I find it damn disgusting too. Not to mention it feels super itchy, and er warm? Not exactly sure how to describe it. Perhaps some of you are wincing at the above pic, can imagine it being all over your body? OMG!?

Yes OMG!!!

I have to really thank Qiwen for being totally able to accept it when she was sitting beside me. It may not be contagious, but even I frown when I see it on MY body, much less to mention on someone else.

And now I have to thank Hon for totally being able to accept it as well. I am seriously a blessed girl with friends and fiancé for being able to accept all about me, awwww! =)

In the midst of recovery! YAYYYYYY!

Hope I can fully recover SOON!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Met up with Sarah to get wedding invite, and I think it's probably the nicest I've seen so far!

I'm quite fascinated by her invite coz it's so familiar yet so different from the normal ones that I usually receive (due to her hubby being a Japanese so there's like long long chinese names mentioned inside).

While I was trying to edit the picture, I found out that photobucket has alot of photo editing functions now! Quite cool!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

While celebrating PY's birthday yesterday, Hon was asking her if she wanna put all candles on the cake or just 1 will do.

PY: Put all lor....nicer ma!
Him: Err then there will be 10 (2 big + 8 small) candles?
PY: Hmmm ok lor then put 1 lor

While he was putting the candles on the cake, she suddenly blurted out: "Eh 2011 - 1982 = 29 right?! So I'm 29 not 28!! OMG!!!!"

Apparently, he also gotten the wrong age coz he used his age to minus off a few years to get her age. And he used his age as of last year coz his birthday is in July!

Perhaps when ladies reach a certain phase, we become forgetful about things like age!!! =b

Happy birthday PY! (Did this using iPhone!)

Happy Kasoshe Day 2011!

Happy CNY to all my dear friends!!! It's 10pm and I can still hear lion dance people rara-ing downstairs! I love CNY (though I don't bai nian)!

Celebrating our 9th Kasoshe Day!

Even though all of us went to different Unis and taking different courses after JC, our friendship lasted and continued blooming.

With Ah Yu getting married next year, me waiting for flat and perhaps Dor/Hoay to get their proposal soon, we are all proceeding to the next phase of our lives.

Can already imagine that next time when we have a Kasoshe gathering, we will all be bringing our kids along....OMG!

I'm looking forward! =)

Had my first UOB D&D! Theme was Voyage, which I self-interpreted as "A journey through time" as staff from different zones were asked to dress differently in outfits from 1950s, 1970s (mine! as mentioned in previous post) and Modern.

Moi playing with my colleague's nerdy spects!

With Jessie, from the 1950s!

My ex-boss, now colleagues again!

Doesn't he look like some Korean popstar?!

My deputy SM, and involved in a performance so was in some makeup...which made him looked SO much like a Korean Popstar!!!

Ain't she pretty?

I was totally attracted by her Policewoman outfit..haha!

They were so into the theme!

It's like watching a movie! haha!

I was quite amazed by the standard of the performances. The whole thing was just super grand and enjoyable! Probably the best D&D I had attended (not like I attended alot but you get the idea)!

My team almost in full strength!
