Gotten the window seats again this time round too....and let my bro have it since its his 1st time onboard a plane~~ =) A 4 hours flight......i think i would have been bored to death without my onflight entertainment!!

Caught 2 movies on way there.....listened to some songs.....watched some variety show....hohoho! and i love evaair coz their seats are very spacious! with very nice air stewardesses! gd service!
Taiwan CKS airport....
Waiting for bus to bring us to taipei city~~
On cab to hotel after alighting from bus.....
I couldnt really get used to taiwan's right side driving.....and also when on escalator they stand on the right side instead of the left like how we do it....and after i got used to standing on the right after 5 days i couldnt get used to standing on the left when i came back sg....diao....
The cab uncle got a shock when i took the pic....coz he tot is some speeding camera taking pics...wahahaha!! Anyway its reallly nice reaching taipei on cny eve coz theres fireworks everywhere!!!!!

After checking into hotel which is a 2 mins walk to Xi men ding...we went to a night market which is just nearby...its the 1st night market of taipei!

They have this kinda stalls at many areas...not only at night markets....and their grilled food are really DAMN nice!! I esp love their mushrooms~~~!!

Games which are very often seen in night markets...
Other frequently seen games are those basketball tou lan games....and the UFO catcher machines....and also catching small guppies in a container.....simple games but is their leisure activities wor.....
My bro said they are so laggy in tech....no computer games....but den simple doesnt mean no joy rite...
Day 2
At hotel lobby....
If you noticed that my boots changed colour...yea smart! i bought a pair of boots the moment i reached huaxi ye shi and changed into it immediately! hehe....
Empty xi men ding....
Coz we went out very early...around 9am....most shops werent opened yet so ximending looked real empty......we passed by everyday coz gotta walk past it to reach the ximen MRT station....

Taipei che zhan...
Its one stop away from ximen....and its like our raffles place station coz its an interchange, and can change to trains (i really meant trains!) or bullet train at this station too! Its quite convenient to travel to other parts of taiwan by the bullet train, but apparently its pretty ex....
My bro is a fire extinguisher! muahahhaa!
A 5 storey high McDonalds!!
Reached Dan Shui station after ard 25 mins.....its the end station on one of the mrt lines....Dan shui is one of the muz go places if you are in taipei!!

Saw this park with nice nice scenery after coming out of the mrt station....and this park is actually quite famous thanks to one SHE song....wanna guess? Hint: its written by jay chou!

Bought alot alot alot of tu chan at dan shui streets.....lugging all those stuffs along with me reminded me of the bangkok trip...just that that time i was carrying clothes...now its FOOD!!!!
Bought tic to go over to Yu ren ma tou (Fisherman Wharf).....
Of coz at dan shui, you HAVE to go over to the famous yu ren ma tou.....nv go yu ren ma tou? dun say u went dan shui before! Rained for a short while when i was buying tics...made me worry for a moment that i couldnt take the ferry over to the wharf.....luckily the rained stopped soon! =)

The lovers' bridge is very famous wor....and theres this saying that if a couple had been there together, they will nv part....of coz its just nonsense la coz i have frens who went together but stil parted......sad hor....how i wish its true wor....like fairytale lidat.....
Thats one of the reasons why most gals love watching those korean/taiwan dramas...coz the kind of fairytale endings which we yearn for are nv found in real life...only in shows....
Back at the dan shui streets....
All the tu chan we bought! looks few but its ALOT!!
I bought alot tu chan back to give to people....coz theres not really much stuff there to buy wor as gifts....and i bought alot alot alot tu chan for someone as well....
Searched for the sun biscuits which hongwei wants also...coz he said dan shui is full of sun biscuits! but i didnt c any wor.....so scared will disappoint him coz think he loves sun biscuits alot....
Dragged ourselves back to hotel to put all the stuffs 1st before travelling out again to Shi Lin Ye shi!!

The famous hao da da ji pai!!

Its not called da ji pai for nothing.....coz its really XXXXXL size! very big....i think one piece of that can fillled up my whole stomach already.....and its nice!! Very fresh and tender meat....OMG! I wan go back again!!

There's actually 2 parts of Shi lin night market.....one part is the selling food area....the other part gotta cross a road to reach the area with alot stalls and roadside stalls.....

Gotten another pair of white boots too which i absolutely love! Boots were on sale everyday probably coz they wanna clear stocks and sell new shoes for the spring season (coz its still considered winter season when i went)....
End of 2 days.....Tired! But still watched the TV til very late coz there's sooo many channels and im so spoiled for choices!
3rd day
Rise & Shine!
Had a sumptuous buffet breakfast at the hotel's restaurant before going out.....but i think i still missed the breakfast at Bangkok's Asia hotel....
Decided to visit the Chiang kai shek memorial hall coz its one of the landmarks in taipei....
On train...i sit on their bo ai zuo...which is like the green seats we have on buses here....
After coming out frm the CKS station...

THe stairs in the backrgrd is no joke! 6-7 times that of the stairs leading from S4 to auditorium!

Rubbish bin in toilet.....
I got a tiny weeeny tad of shock when in the toilet cubicle...coz the rubbish bin lid opened and closed by itself....only when i went to read the words on it den i realized that its automated la...wahhhaa....okok i noe im mountain tortoise!!

But i love their vending machines.....so many different variety of drinks....and they tasted nice nice!! =)

Taipei di xia jie! 
Its supposed to be a shopping area underground, which you will see just before you enter into the place to take mrt....but apparently we went too early so all the shops werent opened yet....we did go back again later in the day and if you shopped well enough, theres actually quite alot of stuffs here!
Many mrt stations have the di xia jie....the one i went to is at the taipei che zhan...and they have 2 di xia jies over here!
Continued on our journey to the Cityhall station to go to Taipei 101!!

Its the tallest building in the world...and its real tall la coz the top part goes way into the clouds!! but i have no idea why its call 101...coz there's only 86 floors i think.....hmmm.....

Went to the foodcourt inside NYNY to have our lunch...
Foodcourt is very similar to what we have here, just that though its self-service too over there, they will give you a number tag for you to go back to ur seat 1st and collect your food later when they call out ur number...even when theres no que....
The person called me piao liang mei mei (pretty gal) when my food was ready!!! muahahhaha!
Tried this coz strongly recommended by Van....
It can be found in quite a few 7-11 stores....its actually normal food like cuttlefish balls and etc but its soup based.....so its healthier? hee....
Next went to Shin Kong Mitsukoshi!!

This 2 places will be pretty familar if you watch those taiwan entertainment shows where they will mention abt some singers having signature sessions at some places....besides ximending, these are the 2 most common places mentioned! =)
Took mrt again and travelled 2 stations to our next destination, the Wufenpu wholesale market!!

A much much much bigger version of the Bugis Village......Gals can shop til drop here!!! Just too bad i went during the wrong season where most shops are selling long sleeves top and jackets....
Went into a shop selling guys' clothings and asked the person if they have any tshirts...then he pointed me to a whole rack of pullovers.....and i asked if they have short sleeved ones.....den he asked me if im singaporean coz only singaporeans will look for short sleeved tops at this time coz its damn cold over there.....aha!

I love taiwan coz i feel that the people there are full of ren qing wei....and they are very community conscious.....like they have posters all around telling people where to go to if they need help regarding marriage....or where they can go to if they frens who are pregnant are having pre-natal blues....

VERY VERY NICE!!!
I nv liked anything thats too flour-y....and i hate anything that will make me put on weight...though this fits the description above, its DAMN yummilicious!! Now i noe why theres always a long que, and ppl willing squat around the shop to enjoy their mee sua (coz theres no seats de).....
Me? I just sat on a bike parked nearby the shop like how all others did! Ru xiang sui su! muahahaha!
Its funny how some taglines are directly translated into chi there...

Bubble tea from this store is strongly recommended coz its nice...but i think the one i bought at Huaxi night market tasted better....and also the one next to ah zong mee sua tasted better....BUT no matter what, it tasted better than singapore's!!
Found the xue hua bing which hongwei recommended!!
Tasted different from the snowice in singapore...maybe coz of the ingredients used? Its damn nice also...a must try!! Thanks to hongwei if not i would have missed out on it coz the shop is located at a not so busy part of ximending.....
Searched for Hongwei's signature on the wall but cant find wor...saw those notes left by NUS peeps instead....aha....

A very famous shop in Korea, but not yet found in Singapore.....or issit in Sg but i duno abt it? Anyway found it in ximending as well.....and i bought 3 masks! hehe....not cheap but its good!! Who going taipei for grad trip??? Help me buy!!!!
